Focus on what the business does well.

One approach that worked on this project was looking at what the business is already doing well. In this case, Bay-Made has a strong Instagram presence in which they focus on highlighting the local artists and makers and the unique products that they make. Knowing this, I tailored my designs of the desktop e-commerce experience to also focus on artists and the details that make each product special. This was key because it not only built on the business’s branding, it spoke directly to the target user’s need for unique products that suit their personal style.
